Art in some aspects - quilt pieces and such

To the left: Doodling in crayons.  I love drawing nature but it is never to size.  I am not really an artist by any stretch
of the imagination but I do create art in different ways.

To the right:

To the left:
An angel I have sewn for a quilt.

I love my new machine!
There are so many possibilities.

Above:  I have learned how to make a standard for the robotic competition and a patch for baseball caps

Left:
Flowers with yo-yo's for the actual flower.  Along with bee to decorate the sky.

Right:A cross done with paper piecing.

Center:
Along with a paper piece pig.

Left my sister Donna's quilt:
I like to make distinct quilts that represent
the person they whom they are.
Some people are traditional
some people like certain colors, like purple.
(Do you see the cross above the church?  Within
the cross is a picture something a little special.)

 Right my sister Amy's quilt:

Some people like snowmen, cats or card.
It seems that every quilt I put some sort of heart in it.
If it is not a quilt piece it is a stitched heart just on the
block itself.  Showing that love was sewn into
the piece.
Left my friends cottage quilt:
It can be a theme of just the sun, water and sand
of a cottage that one love.
(Do you see the tree?  Inside the tree is hearts).

Creating art was never my intention but the end result proves otherwise.  I thought I was just a quilter because I couldn't hack cloths.
In the end you never know what you can do unless you try.  If you think too hard about something it may not happen unless you just "do it" to the best you can.

When something really touches your soul you just keep moving so you don't fall apart.
Below:
A quilt I still have to do the edges of.  If and when I do finish, I know that it is really final.  Not that it is now but my heart still has trouble dealing with it.
Right:
Psalms 147:3 He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.

Kick back Sunday

Riverboat man by Paulie Kassin

Do you ever feel that you are on a boat traveling to no where?
Do you ever feel like others just don't get your drift?
You are sitting still trying to listen to the message and yet there is no sound
except your breathe inside your chest.

Do you feel like
you are in a snow storm
clouded by what you think you
                                                                                   want to see?
snowy road to school !-69

Does life cut you when you have that flash of memory attached to an object with meaning of a time, place or a person?

We are all connected no matter how small or big, red or green, short or tall.  Believe in yourself when you are being called.
To do better things, to shine with the sun, run through the grass and splash in the pond.
Be kind to all that should, could and would be to meet
Remember all the love, help and encouragement from our families, in to the shadows never retreat.
Be that positive person you need to be to show all the world that you are unquestionably!
Use no should haves, could haves, or would haves in your life
Everyday is a new day to move on an forgive.
Stop being self-absorbed in only what is going on with you
There is more to live than that small narrow view.
The world has more things to see in a huge arrays of beautiful hues.
Don't let more moments pass
Getting moving will love, start having a blast!

Enjoy your Sunday, give all of your love ones a kiss, a hug, a note, a text a letter or anything to remind them that they are loved.           From me to you, Happy Valentines Day!

Kick Back Sunday

Beauty can be in anything you look at, from the flowers in the garden.

Sweet Williams

It can be a butterfly on the off the road stop

It can be the Pacific Ocean
on any Hawaiian shore

or the simple snowy road of Michigan.

(even a bag of chocolates!)
worry all better squares

You can find beauty anywhere you look you just have to be open to it.

We are so lucky to have camera phones, at least to
a point, because we can take a picture anytime at any
moment that is right.  When I was younger, I did not
have a camera so readily.  So recently,
when I wanted to find pictures of memories
that I had with a friend whom recently
passed away, all I could find were my yearbooks.

So, take a chance to see the beauty
in anything and everything!
From the praying mantis on a wall

To a cray fish on the rocks

because when you look back on those
memories, then and only then, will
you see the full picture!
Enjoy your Sunday!
